dark emotional hopeful sad tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

I  enjoyed this a lot, even though I think the Montaño case is not very well done on a technical level and just barely closes the circle.

Gabriel is just
the saddest villain!
I didn't like his parts at first, but I came around. Him being presented as
clearly just mentally ill
presents interesting questions about Rita's condition; for a while I wondered if he can see ghosts, too.

Mainly, I'm just glad Rita is
home and doing better after the last book
