Mix Tape
by Jane Sanderson
This is story has so many levels and, in some ways, reminded me of a grown up version of Eleanor and Park. It is very well written keeps you wanting to turn the page.
The reconnecting through songs was a great idea (scroll across to see a list of songs mentioned in the book). If you know the majority then you will love this book. I think had I known the songs more then this would have gotten a higher rating from as I think songs can really take you back to a time and place and evoke feeling. It is one I would buy to give to friends and family.
To begin with it did make me feel a little uncomfortable that this couple were reconnecting even thought they were both in relationships but as the story developed that seemed to fade away and I was left really routing for them to be together.
