Had potential, but this just wasn't it. The concept could have been incredible (and from other reviewers it seems like the anime was much more cohesive and successful), but the art was difficult to follow and explored very little of the world (most panes seem to focus just on characters with little to no background details). I also don't think the pacing was the right choice for this format: nothing seemed to happen for most of the story and when things actually *did* happen they were really rushed. I thought there would be more focus on, you know, defeating the levels of the game and less on characters interacting awkwardly. Speaking of which, the romance plot was...sudden...and pretty unrealistic, even for this story line.
