The Red Mother Vol. 1
by Jeremy Haun
A strange horror tale that I was both into and yet couldn't even remember the main characters name?
The look and feel of this is pretty cool, dark, and scary. But the characters didn't really grab my attention. With a cool idea, a woman is assaulted by some demon thing and her boyfriend kidnapped and this title is mostly focused on PTSD. And for the most part it works though sometimes I think it went TOO fast through bigger moments but some hit well. I also think the overall design of the creatures/demons/red mother all look pretty great. I don't know how I feel about the main character or her side cast yet though.
Interesting enough to read more but not blown away. A 3 out of 5.
