Such a sweet and heartwarming story! I actually liked it even more than the first book—there's just something about the single dad trope and the "man rescues girl" dynamic that gets me every time. At one point, it even gave me The Bodyguard vibes (hello, ultimate romance fantasy!). One of my favorite things about this series is how the storyline continues with characters from previous books. It makes the world feel richer and more immersive, and I love checking back in with familiar faces.

A solid 4-star read for me, and I’ve already jumped into book 3!
