This was a quirky little big graphic novel. I would say it’s written for about 5th grade but with all the potty humor loved by those younger. It’s about a girl in space who just wants to make sure her father is safe, she has friends, and that she won't get eaten by a space whale. There are all sorts of issues that revolve around garbage, dung, salvage, childhood etc. Personally I thought the book was over long and would have been better broken up into a series. And while it was not my favorite graphic novel for this age, I think lots of kids will enjoy it, and reluctant readers will find a story they don’t want to put down.
