Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan
5.0

I don’t typically reach for marriage in crisis books, but Kennedy Ryan always delivers, and Before I Let Go was no exception. OMG, this book was so good. Emotional, raw, and beautifully written, it had me hooked from page one and didn’t let go (pun intended).

Yasmen and Josiah’s story is deeply moving. Their love was supposed to be forever, but life hit them with heartbreak after heartbreak, and love alone wasn’t enough to save their marriage. Now, they’ve settled into a new normal—co parenting their kids, running their business together, and trying to move forward. But the pull between them? It never really went away. And as one stolen kiss turns into more, they’re forced to ask themselves if it’s truly over, or if they can find their way back to each other, stronger than before.

This book is everything: a second chance romance that doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff. Kennedy Ryan captures grief, healing, and real love with such care and nuance, making every moment between Yasmen and Josiah feel earned. Their chemistry is off the charts, but what really got me was the depth of their emotional connection. Every conversation, every longing glance, every touch was laced with history, pain, and so much love.

And can we talk about the writing? Kennedy Ryan’s prose is just on another level. It’s powerful, poignant, and so immersive. She doesn’t just write stories but she really makes you feel them.

If you love second chance romances that are mature, emotional, and deeply satisfying, Before I Let Go is a must read. Even if marriage in crisis isn’t usually your thing, trust me when I say this book is worth it. Absolutely stunning.
