A Taste for Love by Jennifer Yen
3.0

Despite the similarities, I didn't realize Jennifer Yen's A Taste for Love was a Pride & Prejudice retelling until about 3/4 of the way through, when I thought, "Oh, he's like Wickham!" This was a cute read, but I struggled with the premise: Liza's mom is so afraid of nepotism accusations that she won't let her daughter join the family's baking competition, but she has no trouble allowing novice bakers to join in hopes of finding her (recent high school graduate) daughter a potential husband? It just felt like a big stretch. The main characters were likable enough, and I enjoyed Yen's writing style, but overall the story was kind of forgettable in the long run.
