Good narrative interpretation of history
This was a fascinating book, and I got so much more than I bargained for! It's a four only because I think some of his conclusions about Isaac Cline were unfounded (my assessment strengthened by his own author's citations at the end), and his building up of the Joseph/Isaac relationship, without much of a payoff.
I wish he would write an addendum, now that we have experienced Katrina and Sandy, two hurricanes which had not occurred when this was published, and which seem eerily alluded to in the final chapter.
