I was utterly enchanted by the world of Lightlark! The author has crafted a unique and immersive realm, filled with complex characters, political intrigue, and magical wonder. The story follows a compelling cast of rulers as they navigate a high-stakes competition, each with their own secrets and motivations.

The writing is lush and descriptive, making it easy to become fully invested in the world and its characters. The pacing is well-balanced, with moments of intense action and quiet introspection.

My only hesitation in giving a full 5 stars is that some of the supporting characters felt a bit one-dimensional at times, and I wanted more depth and development in certain areas.
