A quick, easy read, but very enjoyable. On the surface the book deals with a girl who has always pined for a boy, and how growing older and maturing can change your opinion entirely. However the book is more than just the two main characters, Bryce and Juli, dealing with their fluctuating love/hate relationship. It shows how growing up gives you perspective, when you're finally old enough to see the world without the rose colored glasses of childhood. The theme of the novel is well incorporated, and it may be short, but any longer would not have had the same impact.
