myntop 's review for:
The Beginning of Everything
by Robyn Schneider
I checked this book out with Prime Reading.
All throughout the book, I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen. I thought, 'oh that's some foreshadowing,' or 'oh that's so predictable.' Each and every time, I was proven wrong. Right up to the ending. This book was anything but predictable to me. I truly did not see the ending coming.
The main theme of the story, I feel, is finding your true self, and not just who everyone expects you to be. There is a theme about recovery and moving forward with life as well. For both Cassidy and Ezra.
Trigger Warning: There is death in this book. If you are sensitive to that, or are mourning right now, I might hold off on reading.
I think this was an excellently written YA book. The characters had a backstory and were well developed and the story was captivating and kept me reading.
