So this books been out for 10 years and I've avoided it thus far as I thought tbh it would not be my cup of tea. I've had many pals suggest I read it, booktubers and booktokers alike have raved about it, and the more hype I heard, the less I wanted to read it.
Finally I joined a book club in January and this is the 3rd book of the year, it's irl and trying to explain my absolute distrust of this book to normal non-Internet women who read one book a month was beyond me.
Also My boyfriend read the book and said it wasn't that bad, so I've given it a go.
It wasn't as bad as thought it was gonna be but it made me cringe and I found Feyre to be a bit of a whinging mood hoover, like, she could of got a lot more done a lot less messily if she'd paid attention and stopped hating every new character she met.
Christ.
Whatever, 3.75/5 it was not the worst thing I've read.
Can't say I'm itching to read the next 5 books.
