Overall Thoughts 💭:
I was excited to read this because I loved 'Take a Chance' and have been craving more! I loved Laila! I liked her journey throughout this book and how she maintained her boundaries. She struggled with some avoidant attachment, which I relate to a lot. I liked Sonny / Bryce as well! He was so charming and sweet and the best MMC you could want. I loved the slow burn between Laila and Bryce. The meet-cutes, the friendship, and then romantic development! It was everything. Bryce took the time to get to know her and meet her where she was; I adored that. I loved the One Tree Hill references! I love that messy show! My only dislike is the ending was a bit rushed and clunky. I struggled thinking about its purpose and how it was so quickly wrapped up.
