I had a lot of issues with the racism coming from 2 of the main characters.... One a father who should teach his son better but had an attitude of "they were just doing it in fun"  or "boys will be boys"... But it was part of the large story here. I liked the modern take of Romeo and Juliet. 

This book will make you rage and cry.
