First of all, I want to say I loved all the books in The Selection. It is one of my favorite series and I love Kiera Cass’ writing. However, with The Betrothed, the writing was horrible. It was flat and boring. It felt juvenile and amateurish, plus cringe worthy with how cheesy some lines were spoken by Jameson. There was really no character development with no building of the characters of what they look like, etc. I wish I would have liked this.
