This book was a lot of fun. A good, ol' fashioned fantasy book with magic and our own reality I can use as an anchor point while learning how magic and the other worlds work. And your classic "bad guy vs good guy". Just your basic, solid, tried and true fantasy novel.

Wait, there's a second book? Fuck that. Stop making books into series. This book ended well enough, why do people gotta go and waste my time with sequels?!?! If you have more to say, put it all in one book. I don't care if it makes the tome the size of my head, just STOP WITH THE SEQUELS!
