This was a nice, quick, fluffy read. I generally enjoyed this, but would have loved a bit more character development. I wanted to know a bit more about the protagonists as well as some backstory on the world.

My biggest issue is that it just seemed rushed. This needed another 100 pages-at least-to feel complete to me.

Fans of The Bone Season, Twilight, and even The Hobbit could find some easy enjoyment here.
