β€œLove isn’t about perfection, Luna; it’s about imperfect people creating their own version of happily ever after.”

First Impressions
King of Sloth is the fourth installment in the "Kings of Sin" series. I took way too long to read this one. I wasn't a huge fan of book 2 or 3 all that much and I hadn't heard good things about this one so I just delayed in reading it. With King of Envy coming out, I decided to just bite the bullet and read it and wow I fell in love with this book. Its second to Dante's book if I am being honest. I just clicked so well with this story, it had me laughing at the very beginning, and it had a bit of a retelling a bit of "Two Weeks Notice" in the type of dynamic that they have. I loved what we see from these characters .....a relaxed goofball of a hero and a uptight ice queen of a heroine and they truly end up complimenting each other so well.

"You think you know me so well," I whispered, even though he was right. "Only parts of you." The gentle brush of his thumb against my hand unlocked a colony of butterflies in my stomach. "But we'll get there."

First Line
Breaking into a ten thousand dollar a night Greek villa hadn't been in the plans for the day, but plans changed and people adapted, especially when they had clients who insisted on making their life as difficult as possible.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Xavier Castillo
The Heroine: Sloane Kensington

Summary
Xavier is full of charm and is very easy going and has a relaxed personality. He hasn't taken time to show any interest in his father's empire and just wants to take life as it comes to him. He and his father don't get along ever since his mother died and his father blamed him for it. But he does live the life of a party boy. His father assigned him a PR assistant, Sloane Kensington, who is strict and not willing to let what he does slide. But when changes happen in his life, the connection that has slowly been building between them seeps into the surface and Xavier will have to decide if his life is worth fighting for including the woman he has come to love and respect....

Luna is short for mi luna. My moon. Because no matter how dark the nights got, you were always there, shining so brightly that I always found my way through

What I Loved
King of Sloth was endearing and hilarious and felt like a come to life rom com that you watch at the movie theatre. I adored their dynamic and they just got along super well. You see the way in which they have this good bantering and they know how to battle just right verbally with one another. And their personality while completely opposite from each other just shows how perfect they are and it truly felt like seeing them come together was a true "Yin Yang" type of relationship. From the beginning I was instantly drawn in and I didn't want to put this book down...Literaally. If you have been sleeping on the audiobooks....GRAB them up because they are so delicious and I just think they just make the books so much better. What really made this book work so well for me was the character growth. You see our hero, Xavier, lives the playboy lifestyle. Doesn't have a care in the world when in reality he lives this life as a bit of revenge against his father who blamed him for his mother's death when it was no one's fault. We have our heroine, who seems uptight and independent but deep down she aches for some softness in her life and Xavier brings that vulnerability and soft moments slowly into her life. I loved seeing how these two fight for each other when they desperately need it. And the ending was just right and gives you a teaser for what is to come for King Of Envy which I will definitely need to read soon here.

life ebbs and flows, and there’s always room for change. Humans have the capacity for growth until they leave this earth, so never feel like it’s too late for you to take another road if you’re unhappy with the one you’re traveling.life ebbs and flows, and there’s always room for change. What I Struggled With
Probably the third act....wasn't a fan in how that played out but its typical of how this author writes her conflicts.

Narration
Perfection!!! I didn't want to put it down, and the humor tones were mastered so well. They have a great dynamic and its done as a duet which is one of the best ways to have an audiobook narrated.

Overall View
King of Sloth was a engaging, laugh your head off, make you swoon when you least expect it kind of ride that will leave your toes curling and your head spinning!

Love isn’t about perfection, Luna; it’s about imperfect people creating their own version of happily ever after. And while I don’t know everything, I do know this: Every version of my happily ever after will always include some version of you.

Simmering cup of tea---soft warm touches and light intimacy
Warmin' by the fire- a medium level of sexual tension, a balance of sexual and emotional intimacy, lighter on the details in the sexual moments.
Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.
Blazing fire to the building-The prime focus is the sex scenes, scorching hot, and could burn one. Less focus on the emotional intimacy to the relationship.
