He offers her this: in exchange for 10 years of her life he will find a cure for her curse. She has the night to think it over, and that’s when she meets Rónán, a merman who had made a bargain with the Grand Master and is now his slave, put on display and forced to do everything he says. After Amada saves Rónán they feel a connection... but this does not go unnoticed by the Grand Master who wants Amada desperately... and he sends Rónán to convince her to take the deal... yet he can’t. Rónán is a merman warrior of a dead kingdom, he made the bargain for someone he loved only for them to break his heart... and now he is being held captive, yet Amada is the first person to capture his attention after all these years. Now Rónán and Amada must figure out how to break her curse, free him from his contract, and find out why The Grand Master is so obsessed with Amada. This was a cute read and I enjoyed the romance between two characters who have both been hurt by love and can recognize the pain that they’ve both experienced.
