This is the 4th book by T. Kingfisher that I’ve rated 4 stars (actually 4.5 for this one), I think it’s safe to say she’s a new favourite author for me! This one was just phenomenal, so creepy but extremely relatable at the same time; every reaction Sam had to what was going on was a reaction I could see myself having in that situation. The characters were fantastic, with funny banter to break the tension but enough paranoia and creeping dread to keep me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I found the very end to be a little typical for this kind of story, but otherwise this was yet another winner from this author
