The Mudpuddle Manual of Natural Magic
by Ciara Blume
lighthearted
mysterious
slow-paced
Full of wonderful and magical characters and a great little mystery, this cozy is a great compliment to the fall season.
The Mudpuddle is a bookstore/cafe that holds an archive of magical books and one day it disappears along with its current owner and a body is left behind.
Maida has been raised as an Ordinary and she will be pulled into the world of magic when she discovers she's the true owner of the Mudpuddle. I like how she processed the magical world once she is privy to it. Rosie is a teenage girl that's hiding a big secret from her father but she becomes a big help when it's really needed.
