The Far Field is a book I chose from BOTM one month because it sounded like a wonderful story and I am so happy with my choice of picking it. This book was written with such descriptive passages that tell the memories or coming of age in India, and then how the main character reflects back on it in her adulthood to understand her privilege and the atrocities many face in the life. I had a hard time getting into the book at the start but with more time the beautiful narrative made me envision myself following the story in India.
