Illuminae by Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman

Holy crap I need more stars for this one!!!!! I was oddly skeptical when I received a review copy from NetGalley, I didn't expect it to knock my socks off and make me a complete emotional wreck, but so it did! First off, the format of this book is probably something you'll either love or hate, and I loved it. The authors did a phenomenal job on that front - telling a complete story from the perspective of hacked tech data could have gone horribly wrong, and it so very didn't. I was continually interested and constantly surprised by the twists and turns the book took.

Not to mention, every. Single. Character was freaking awesome. Obviously Kady and Ezra are favorites, but I loved the sense of real personality we got for the supporting characters as well. The interactions, snark, drama and romance just totally did it for me. I'm literally still suffering book hangover, so I really hope the next one comes out quick!
