To Sir Phillip, With Love by Julia Quinn
4.0

Sir Phillip’s wife, Marina dies and leaves him with his eight year old twins. He feels like he is a terrible father to his hellion children. He feels like after the mourning period he must find a wife to be a mother to his children. He doesn’t care if the woman is ugly, he just wants a wife who is happy and that will mother his children. Eloise sends a condolence letter Sir Phillip and from there the two correspond for a year. After a year, Sir Phillip writes that he would like to marry Eloise and that they should meet at his estate with a chaperone. Well, Eloise gets a bit lost with Penelope’s marriage, so she takes off to Sir Phillip’s estate with no warning. Will people find her? Will the two suit?
This was a good book. I’ve been really enjoying the Bridgerton series and thankfully I can binge the last three books after this since they finally came in from the library. I liked the children, Phillip, and Eloise. I did get a bit annoyed that Phillip only wanted Eloise to be a mother.
