It was fine for a novella it was an interesting concept. I found the writing was different from M.L. Rio other work. I loved 'If We Were Villains' and the time developing the characters made it shine for me as well as the writing. The characters in Graveyard Shift were interesting but I felt this book could have benefitted from being longer. There were a lot of characters for 100 pages and I wanted more about them, I wanted the concepts, and plot to be more fleshed out. The pacing was a bit off for me too. Overall I liked the story. I just wanted more.
