The Spellshop
by Sarah Beth Durst
I don’t think I’ve ever read a grumpy/sunshine trope where the female is the grump—and honestly, it was kinda fun! The Spellshop had some sweet moments and a charming setting, but overall it leaned a little too fluffy and cozy for my usual taste.
The writing? Solid.
The plot? Decent.
The ending? Satisfying.
But the vibes? Just not quite my genre.
If you love magical bookstores, slow-building stories, and quiet fantasy with heart, this might be your jam. For me, it was a pleasant read, just not one I’d rave about. 3 stars from this grump!
