A very, very short story about the main trio going to a Pride festival. Like a lot of the other reviews, I wish that it was longer but I’m glad to get the additional content after the main story.
I wish thatBelle Robinson was mentioned more, but Chiamaka isn’t the type to linger on her feelings, and the last time they meet in the main story is probably the last time they ever see each other - especially since Chiamaka blocked her and this story is about her trying to forget Belle. I also wished that we got to meet Mia, Chiamaka’s partner in the epilogue; even if we don’t get to meet her now (it’s only been nine months after the fire and Chiamaka has sixteen more years to go until she gets to the point we see her in at the epilogue), some kind of reference to Mia or Chiamaka’s interest in women would be nice.
I was hoping to hear more about what happened after the ending of the story, but this serves its purpose as a fun, lightheaded moment in the Ace of Spades universe.
I wish that
