In this story touted as Phantom of the Opera meets Moulin Rouge, I recognized Phantom elements more than the other and that kept me interested enough.
I wanted more about why the city of Glorian is kind of cursed and why the occupants can't leave. I wanted more from the magic of it but felt there wasn't a lot of it shown. I hope the second book explains it in more detail.
I felt that it was very slow moving and had me kind of bored sometimes.
