I am a sucker for a good romance and this was the kind of romance that made my heart melt. January is going through a breakup and her father died unexpectedly. Her father leaves her a beach home in Michigan, so January moves her life to live there to write her next book. She is feeling pressure from the publishing company to write another bestseller. Her main focus is this book but when she meets an old friend, Gus, that lives right next door to her, everything changes. Gus is also a writer, he and January make a deal with one another to write a book outside their comfort zone.

The relationship that kindles between Gus and January is so adorable and loving. It does take them a while to get used to each other, but the chemistry between the two is FIRE from the start. I loved how the author builds both of these characters, they both have deep personal problems they are dealing with. I loved the writing style of this book - it was a quick and light read. I flew through this book in just a couple of days. It's one of those books that I woke up in the morning and my first thought was, "I need to pick up this book and read it". If you are a hopeless romantic and enjoy reading romances, then this book is for you. Highly recommend!
