Licking Her Christmas Cookies
by Alina Jacobs
First things first, YES there are some Belle and Greg interactions, and I was so there for it.
This story was super comical, and the overall theme was THIS ISN'T WHAT HAPPENS IN HALLMARK. Yes, the author playfully and innocently explores our love and expectations for holiday romance based on what Hallmark and now Lifetime, Netflix, and Hulu are showing us.
Merrie is a mess. Shes an impulsive dreamer who at times seems comfortable in her own skin and others suffers from anxiety and self-doubt. I loved her independence and sassy attitude.
Matt was a classic grouch to prince love interest. I loved his interactions with his siblings. Its nice to see how close they have all become since book one and Belle's return.
Lots of gears are in motion for the folks of Harrogate. The Richmond name was briefly mentioned... swear that's a series in the making.
Overall, this story hit the spot. Its full of belly laughs, minimal drama, and just encompasses holiday cheer. I NEED a movie adaptation and I want Joanna Garcia to play Merrie please and thank you.
