Nantucket Blue
by Leila Howland
I really enjoyed the setting of this book. It was a perfect summer read! However, I felt like a lot was going on at once and I wish the author would've just stuck to a couple problems rather than too many all at once. The romance was really unexpected and the "love triangle" if you can call it that? felt really unnecessary. Also, I feel like there wasn't much character development. Overall, the story just felt rushed. Jules was such a frustrating character and I hated seeing Cricket go through heartbreak because Jules was being selfish and just plain rude AND the other characters were just taking it from her and letting her do it because it's how she was coping. That was SO UNHEALTHY.
I think this was a really good contemporary and I want to continue onto the sequel. If you've read [b:The Summer I Turned Pretty|5821978|The Summer I Turned Pretty (Summer, #1)|Jenny Han|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1361666855i/5821978._SY75_.jpg|5994018], you'll like this! Even if you liked or disliked that book I suggest giving this one a try.
