A really interesting premise that falls flat. Others have mentioned this, but it really does do a lot more of telling than showing and it leads to more bland story than it should be. I also wish it had expanded more on Aesthetica being that it’s the name of the book.
Despite the main character talking a lot about her flaws and thoughts, I still felt like didn’t know her by the end. Thus I never really cared. I think there were strong ideas and concepts that just should have been reworked. Feels almost like a first edit of the story.
