If you want a cute story with a friendship between a boy and a girl that is not and won’t be a romance, this is the story for you.
I love how this story shows that college isn’t the only option
By the way, the dogdies. I think this hit me extra hard because I had to put my cat down last week. The dog isn’t an integral part of the story, but is mentioned a few times and becomes important in this moment.
I’ve been dying for demisexual representation and to see my experience in a book. So, I picked up this book specifically because it had demisexual representation. While this did exist, it wasn’t a main part or tiny part of the story. There is a single line about 350 pages in that alludes to it. Then in the last 10 pages it’s mentioned and explained. I feel a little let down, but I think it’s because I had high hopes.
This is an own voices book in that the author is asexual.
African American rep - main character

Gay rep - side character
Bi rep - main character
Demisexual rep - 2nd main character
Korean rep - side character
