I love this series so it's no surprise how much I enjoyed this book. I feel like poor Lana is just looking for a break and is feeling a little burnt out from all the detecting and I LOVED that because it just seems so genuine for an 8th mystery to solve for her. She is the most down to Earth, relatable sleuth that I have been reading recently and I didn't want to put this book down. They way she puts it all on the line for friends (and even acquaintances), will do anything for family and is somehow still able to be truthful with her detective boyfriend even when it puts her in a bad spot. And the mystery had me seriously stumped and shocked. She is the best and I cannot wait to read more!
