2018: I didn’t like the pace of this book, I didn’t care about any of the characters, and I was not interested in anything they were doing. I SLOGGED through this book and was overall disappointed, especially after hearing great things about it from friends.

I think I might have enjoyed it more if I knew more of the biblical story behind it. I did enjoy some of the more dramatic moments in the book, but there weren’t nearly enough of them to make it feel like anything actually happened in this book.
