Let me start off with saying that I'm a fan of Nina LaCour and I realllllly wanted to like this. Judging from the overall rating, I may be alone here, but I found that the story moved too slowly and I wasn't nearly sad enough to follow along. The part I did enjoy (and probably why it got 2 stars out of me) was the romance aspect with

. I found myself wanting to dive way more into that and leave the Gramps and mother plot behind.



If I were in a different headspace, I think I would have enjoyed this book, but sadly, I just found myself wanting it to be over.
