This book was a quick, sweet (pun intended) holiday read. It had everything you expect from a Christmas story: small-town girl meets big-town guy and the rest is… well… history.

Marley and John worked so well together from the beginning. From the moment he struck the deal with her (without consulting his boss/future-would-be-father-in-law), you know exactly where it’s going: the book was definitely predictable but in a feel-good way. I enjoyed the easy-going nature, especially the lack of unnecessary drama that takes so long to fix—let’s be real, we all get a bit sick of the “miscommunication that takes half the book to resolve itself when all it needs is a CONVERSATION.

This holiday read was definitely a good way to ease into the holiday season and a feel-good read after tearing my own heart to shreds reading “The First To Die At The End.”
