The thing about Black Butler is you had to be there for the Black Butler renaissance of the 2010s, particularly on tumblr dot com. The manga itself though? In this year of 2024 there is so many manga that have now been translated that finding a better story (for me, now an adult) is much easier than it was back then (when I was like 12).
I kind of struggle with a lot of 2000s shoujo-esque manga because the pages are just SUPER busy with a bunch of words with kinda ugly translation textboxes that are too small but still, it IS Black Butler which comes with some serious nostalgia so my rating is prob a bit more generous than if I had never seen it before.
