ARC kindly received for an honest review.

I don't really know where to start with this one. Whilst its got J Mac's typical addicting storyline, these two characters together are quite toxic, to be honest. I really wanted to know what happened between Holden and Jamie after the way the first book ended, and whilst we do find that out, it did take a while to get to the bottom of it all.

There seems to have been some growth with the characters, but I would say more so with Jamie than with Holden. I really loved our secondary characters, especially Maggie, and I enjoyed the moments with Mia, Benny and Leo in them too.

I read this one in less than 24 hours, but Jamie and Holden have many issues in their relationship and I spent a lot of time wondering why? What's going on? Why won't you just be mature and speak to each other and communicate properly, instead of doing things that hurt each other?

In the end, everything is nicely wrapped up, and I did have a few little moments that brought out the emotions. I just don't really know how to wrap my head completely around what I just read. Don't get me wrong, this is a good book, I'm just struggling to put my thoughts into words.
