I never read this book as a pre-teen but I did see the movie and absolutely loved it. The movie was like a direct reflection of the book and I couldn't help but see Shia LaBeouf as Stanley Yelnats.

It's a quick, easy read about a boy's unknowing redemption, self-discovery, and the power of destiny.
