The story was fun but the internal dialog was killing me. I don’t know why the same thoughts were repeated over and over again. It really frustrated me.
His thoughts were something like this:
“She is so fragile, I feel the need to protect her”
Two pages later…
“I don’t know why but I need to protect her, maybe because she is mortal and fragile”
Next chapter…
“She is a mortal, that means she is fragile so I have to protect her”
And on and on…

Anyways… the story was fun and simple, and I do want to read the next one in the series.
