Never Let Me Go
by Kazuo Ishiguro
*RECOMMENDED BY CONNOR WARREN
I couldn't find my emotional connection to this story. I thought the writing and characterization were very strong, but nevertheless I felt incredibly detached while reading. I don't think the timeline really worked for me--it was too disjointed and I had to focus on the order of events to keep it straight in my head, which prevented me from losing myself in the story.
