The clecanian series is so Deliciously good.  

Sometimes you gotta appreciate the abducted by aliens and fated mates tropes when they are written so well. 

While in the foreground there is this fun romantic adventure story with real life characters, there has been a build up of a world and a back story that keeps growing with each subsequent novel.  

The backstory is starting to take up more of plot but that's just fine. 

The only problem I find is that the characters are so lovely I want a bit more of them in each novel.
