Naruto, Vol. 44: Senjutsu Heir by Masashi Kishimoto
4.0

First half does a extremely goodjob of Naruto handling the fallout of the last volume.

With death comes loss, and it's always the person who is left behind who has to hold up the weight of it all. Naruto has grown in a lot of ways while still being a idiot at times. This volume above all else shows how much he's matured. Especially dealing with the fallout of the last volume. Then we flip over to Sasuke and his crew taking on "Killer B" which by the way is such a dumb name. This rapper like ninja warrior won't be so easy to put down.

Besides the semi-racist make the one black guy in the series a rapper thing going on it was a pretty fun volume. Killer B's moveset is entertaining and watching him handle Sasuke and Co is actually great. I'd say though the best part is the first half with Naruto dealing with the loss and moving forward. Touching and sad, with multiple characters in grief.

A 4 out of 5.
