The Secrets of the Stormforest
by L.D. Lapinski
I am very fond of the StrangeWorlds trilogy and I enjoyed this final book. It was entertaining and it was good to be back in this multiverse.
Unfortunately for me personally it just wasn't as good as the previous book, The Edge of the Ocean. It did something very common in final books in series, which is focusing on tying up the plot while rushing through the emotional resolution. It is something I frequently notice even in books that receive a lot of praise, so it may be a personal preference, but it always annoys me. Spoiler here, but in this book there are some major family events which take place, and we barely get to see members of the family react to them.
Overall maybe slightly disappointing as I wanted the series to go out on a high, but it's still a very good book and I highly recommend the StrangeWorlds trilogy to anyone who hasn't yet picked it up.
