I’ve recently come to realize that my favorite books are the ones I relate to so closely, OR the characters are so far my opposite I can only hope to understand their kind through reading from their perspective. And never have I felt more seen than when I was reading Acts of Desperation and experiencing the all-consuming nature of our narrator’s toxic relationship.
