Really enjoyed this reread and got so much more out of it than when I read in high school. I love Jane and I love how the plot points show her as a character. The language is beautiful and themes & symbols enjoyable to identify. Not a fan of what Rochester does to Bertha & there are obviously very dark moments in the novel. Jane’s journey of independence and defining her morals are inspiring and heartwarming.
