This was SO GOOD!! The characters, the world-building, the writing, the banter, the suspense, the romance, the beautiful writing, the cliffhanger!

We Hunt the Flame totally deserves all the love and hype it is getting! I am so glad I gave into the peer pressure and the FOMO, and finally picked it up. And boy oh boy! I loved it so so much!

Nasir Ghameq is definitely added to my book boyfriends list. I loved the character arc of Nasir, even though I usually despise the whole "love transforming a bad guy" trope. Zafira bint Iskandar!! My QUEEN! I love her so much! I would willingly lay down my life for her, no joke. We saw so little of Deen, but I loved him. The iced cream date Deen and Zafira go for is just the sweetest thing ever. My man deserved better. Altair was such a mysterious, complex character! In the beginning I didn't know if I hated him or loved him. By the end he grew on me. The sarcasm, oof! The witty banter between Altair and Nasir gave me life!

That ending tho! I can't wait for the sequel to come out.

This book is SLOW. Like terribly slow. I think this is the reason why this book doesn't have higher ratings. But if you can look beyond the pacing, this book is beautiful. There was stuff that I did not like, but overall I enjoyed this book immensely. The fact that I slept for only 3 hours last night and finished it in less than 20 hours should vouch for it.

Basically what I'm trying to say is - Read it!!
