All About Love: New Visions
by bell hooks
Overall this is a book which I will continue dipping back into from time to time. However, I agree with others who have mentioned that it was incredibly heterocentric especially since the author acknowledges a handful of times that LGBTQ+ persons exist.
Originally this was going to be a 5 star read for me but I could have lived without the rambling, non-coherent chapter on greed, and the final chapter on angels was truly a mess. There were some points where I felt grated at the number of times Peck's book The Road Less Travelled was mentioned - I felt as though I should have just been reading that book instead! But amongst all that, there were some really big perspective changing moments for me.
I'd recommend it to everyone - but don't bother with the final chapter.
